With more than 1 million people infected with COVID-19 until September 2022, Bolivia is among the ten countries most affected by the pandemic in Latin America, so medicines, care and all related logistics were required for the health emergency. In response to this situation, North Life Pharma donated nasal rapid antigen tests and rapid antibody tests, as well as other medicines, so that the Bolivian authorities could distribute them to the population.
The donation was made through the Health Supply and Procurement Center (CEASS, by its Spanish acronym), since it is the only one authorized for these imports. Rapid antigen and antibody detection tests were delivered, which left the factory at the end of August and arrived at the Bolivian Customs in the same month. 5 mg Diazepam tablets, 10 mg Methylphenidate tablets and 75 mg Diclofenac Sodium vials were also donated to treat other ailments of the population.
North Life Pharma stated that they make these types of donations on a regular basis in Latin America in support of the health of different countries. “We are very grateful with the opportunities they have given us. We have the willingness to continue working and we have plans to expand in different regions.”
In total, close to 50 thousand people benefited from this donation. This confirms the company’s commitment to Latin American countries and will continue on this path.
